The experiments aimed at determining the influence of change in work parameters on position of field beam in vertical plane pending working movement of sprayer. The variable work parameters were: height of beam setting, working velocity, rate of sprayer tank filling and tyre pressure in tractor wheels. The experiments were carried out with two types of suspension sprayers of working width 12 and 18 m. The sprayers were Pilmet 412 and Pilmet 818 differing in the mode of bean stabilization. The results obtained allowed to determine the percentage of the way passed with a given angle of beam inclination in relation to the whole measurement section for variable working parameters of the sprayer. As well there was determined so called beam position index simultaneously characterizing both the position of beam and the way passed with a given inclination. According to the author the index enables determining the influence of work conditions on the swing of field beam in vertical plane, and so on the quality of spraying.
