Repeated examinations were made on 1325 persons from the Gdańsk voivodeship including 3 population groups: (1) Inhabitants of fisher settlements, and the staff of „Arka", suspected of the presence of Diphyllobothrium latum (480 subjects); (2) Inhabitants of farms where cattle was found to harbour cysticercosis (424 subjects); (3) Staff of meat-processing plants (421 subjects). In the two first groups the result was negative, only group 3 showing 13 cases of Taenia sp.; in group 2 and 3 there were also 4 cases of Hymenolepis nana.
