The results of performed research revealed significant morphological differences among the isolates of Gaeumannomyces graminis var. tritici (Ggt). Subdivided groups 1G–3G varied in terms of their virulence toward winter wheat seedlings. Ggt isolates from the early growth stages were found to be more virulent than isolates from winter wheat in its later growth stages. Virulence of all three groups of Ggt isolates from wheat grown after wheat was higher than virulence of isolates from wheat grown after oilseed rape. An increase in cereal share within a crop rotation scheme may cause a higher risk of the disease occurrence and pathogenicity.
