Studies on the composition of serum proteins were made in 156 patients infected with T. spiralis using paper electrophoresis paralelly with white cell count; the studies were carried out in the first and further weeks of the stay at the clinic. The hitherto obtained results suggest the possibility that the persisting relative limphomonocytosis in later stages of the disease may be related to the developmental phase of protein changes, characterized by marked hypoalbuminemia and hypoglobulinemia with the concomitant persistance of alfa₁₋, alfa₂₋ and gamma-globulinemia.
