The author discusses S. Tarczyński's article published in the same issue of this periodical, in which the attempt is made to restore the former notion of parasitic anthropozoonoses by taking into consideration a zoogenous derivation as the sole factor of the invastion. Referring to a previous article (Kozar, 1959) there are shown the little usefulness and appropriateness of the former notion, and new arguments are given supporting the author's suggestion made formerly. Among numerous parasites of man the new notion of anthropozoonoses singles out a smaller group of them, gives a certain review of the evolution of parasitism, draws attention to the very essential question of specificty and variability of the parasites, and taking into account epidemiological factors it possesses a high biological and practical value.
