The use of the migration inhibition test of leucocytes (LMI) in the assessment of the activity of leukocitic dia- lysate specific for Salmonella spp. The capillary migration inhibition test of leucocytes was administered to assay the activity of leukocitic dia- lysate (DIE). For this purpose there was used DLE derived from animals infected with S. typhimurium (DLEinf.), immunized with a vaccine containing Salmonella cells (DLEim.) and from clinically healthy animals (DLEn.). The results indicated that it was possible to determine the level of PU (potency unit) in the preparations of DLEinf. and DLEim. In contrast, DLEn. did not induce a specific migration inhibition of leucocytes.
