The aim of this study was to analyse fungal communities associated with plants common cattail Typha latifolia L. during the vegetation season and their influence on leaf healthiness. Fungi occurring on common cattail caused spots and necroses which resulted in diminishing ornamental values of plants. The following fungi: Alternaria alternata, Epicoccum purpurascens, Paecilomyces farinosus, Penicillium expansum, and Phialophora richardsiae were most frequently isolated from the affected tissues of the common cattail.
