In view of the wide application of mud baths in the treatment of women diseases, 10 mud samples derived from various curative centres were examined for the viability of T. vaginalis. It has been found that there is no loss of viability in the samples under examination, except for that from Krynica. Whatever the time of their stay in the mud and temperature variations, the T. vaginatis strains, when transferred from the mud on selective media, were found to multiply after 24 hours.
