The aim of the study was to present the authors’ experience with the diagnosis and treatment of gallbladder mucocele in dogs. The study was conducted on 15 dogs of different breeds, age and sex, in which during ultrasonography gallbladder mucocele was diagnosed. The dogs were divided into 2 groups: group 1, dogs with surgical treatment (8 animals) and group 2, the dogs with pharmacological treatment (7 animals). The most reliable and useful diagnostic method in detecting gallbladder mucocele in dogs is the ultrasound examination. It has been shown that only surgical treatment leads to the complete disappearance of clinical signs of the disease while pharmacological treatment leads to only partial health improvement.
