The paper contains the localities of 51 lichen species collected in 1989 from the forest areas between Brzeg Dolny and Oborniki Śląskie. The big Industrial Chemical Works in Brzeg Dolny, which is situated in the western part of the investigated area, emit toxic compounds into the air. The analysis of the occurrence, distribution and abundance of the monitoring lichen species in the forest communities has made possible to determine the bioecological conditions.
