The aim of the studies was determination of dithiocarbamate residue decay in apple fruits of Champion variety and determination of possibility of application of fungicide from that group in protection of fruits destined for baby food production. The studies were carried out in apple orchard situated in Budziwój – district of Rzeszów. Dithane Neo Tec 75 WG was applied twice. The initial level of fungicide residue after the treatments amounted 4.09±0.91 mg/kg (I treatment) and 2.41±0.96 mg/kg (II treatment). Half-life period of the fungicide decay was 9 and 14 day: after the first and the second treatment respectively. At harvest time, seven weeks after the second treatment, the detected residue level 0.26±0.06 mg/kg was much higher than acceptable one 0.01 mg/kg.
