Carpelimus erichsoni (SHARP, 1871) is recorded from Poland for the first time. It was found in two different localities: on the riverbank of Vistula near to Józefów nad Wisłą and in the peat bog Wielkie Błoto near to Cracow. It is the twenty-second or the twenty-thrid Carpelimus species in Poland (uncertainty about the occurrence of Carpelimus manchuricus subtilicornis (ROUBAL, 1946). Habitus of Carpelimus erichsoni and aedeagi structure comparison with similar species of Carpelimus bilineatus (STEPHENS, 1834) are presented.
