The susceptibility level of pollen beetle to active substances recommended for its control is highly differentiated, even within the same chemical groups. In this situation, one of the most important factors, influencing effective oilseed rape control, is the pest’s population numerical force on the field during the treatment. In the study, range of different pollen beetle population mortality levels at recommended doses of various insecticides, was recorded. Results were expressed as a percent of mortality. For each active substance, a maximal number of insects per one rape plant was calculated, considering the maximal effectiveness of a given active substance observed during the study, that caused the decrease of insect number population below the given economic threshold.
