In the course of 8 years 18 206 persons were examined whereby in 33,9 per cent of them were found parasites. In 1954 the physicians at the health centres directed for parasitological examinations 442 persons and in 1961-4597 persons that is ten times more. Most frequently are conducted coprological examinations to detect parasites in children of the age up to seven. The highest number of the detected parasites is also in the age group up to seven years with the exception, of course, of tapeworms which occur most commonly in adult persons. Among all the parasites most commonly found in children suspected to be infected with worms and therefore examined coprologically is Lamblia intestinalis. On the basis of statistical data it can be stated that ambulatory treatment of lambliosis gives in the majority of the cases positive results.
