Using of coagglutination test for the detection of adhesive antigen K88, K99, 987P and F41 on E. coli pathogenic for animals was investigated. The preparations of the adhesive antigens have been prepared from E. coli reference strains: K12 : K88, K12 : K99, O9 : K103, 987P, O101 : F41 and were inoculated into rabbits. The immune sera had been used in preparing of the coagglutination reagents, employed in the examinations. The same efficacy both of the tests were stated when the results of the adhesive antigen detection on the reference strains and on the strains isolated from animals with colibacillosis by conventional agglutination and coagglutination had been compared. On some of the strains however, the other adhesive antigen could be recorded only by use of the coagglutination. It was concluded, that the coagglutination as a simple and reable test should be employed in the laboratory diagnostics of the pathogenic E. coli.
