Flagyl was applied in 48 women with the infection of T. vaginalis at the Out-patient Department of the IId Clinic of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Medical School in Warsaw. The drug was administered twice daily per os in the amount of 250 mg and per vaginam in the dosis of 500 mg for 10 days. The patients' husbands were treated by oral route. The control examinations were performed 3 days, 1 month and 2 months after the treatment. The indirect examination, stained slides and parasite culture were done. In 4 cases the treatment had to be repeated; 42 patients were treated with good results which constitutes 88% of the total number of cases under examination.
