Na podstawie informacji z Komisji Europejskiej oraz OECD dokonano próby określenia wpływu wprowadzenia wspólnej waluty europejskiej na sektor rolno-spożywczy w krajach Unii Europejskiej oraz w Polsce. Przedstawiono ogólny wpływ euro na przedsiębiorstwa sektora rolno-spożywczego oraz gospodarstwa rolne. Ponadto, opisano zmiany w systemie agromonetamym w UE oraz ich wpływ na ceny rolne, płatności i dochody uzyskiwane przez rolników w UE.

This paper examines effects of the single currency on agro-food sector in the European Union and in Poland. It outlines the main economic costs and benefits of the euro for farmers and agro-food enterprises in the EU. Furthermore, it discusses changes in the agri-monetary system and analyses the impacts of the euro on farm prices, direct payments and agricultural incomes in the EU.
