Ogrodzieniec commune is situated in the region, which is an integral part of the “Eagle Nests” Landscape Park. Almost half of the commune area is covered by forests. A rich flora consists of 700 species of vascular plants including 47 species which are preserved. The main touristic attraction of the commune are ruins of a castle from XIV century in Podzamcze. The ruins make great scenery for many tournaments, festivals and concerts which take place there every year. Besides castle ruins in Podzamcze, there are also worth to see the Holy Virgin on the Rock sanctuary, Birów Mountain – the most valuable Karst form in Poland and XVII-th century church in Ogrodzieniec. Moreover, in Gieble there are XVIII-th century church and a noble residence from the turn of 19th century. Six touristic trials run throughout the commune. It is easy to find a night’s lodging there, especially in private houses. The great interest make an ostrich farm and a horse-riding farm in Lachowiźno, however the touristic possibilities of Ogrodzieniec commune are not fully exploited.
