The aim of the present study was to assess susceptibility of winter triticale cultivars to cereal pest infestation in post-registration variety testing trials (PDO – trials). A total of 18 cultivars were tested covering 11 cultivars with regular type of growth (N) and 7 dwarf cultivars. The trials were carried out at the Field Experimental Station of the Institute of Plant Protection – NRI in Winna Góra. The obtained results were presented in relation to six cultivars recommended for cultivation in the voivodeship of Wielkopolskie based on the List of Recommended Varieties for 2010. Bird-cherry aphid (Rhopalosiphum padi L.) and English grain aphid (Sitobion avenae F.) occurred at a very low intensity. I was revealed a late appearance (I an II decade of July) of cereal plant bugs (Aelia acuminata L.) and cereal shield bugs (Eurygaster maura L.). The cultivar Pawo showed the highest level of resistance to cereal pest infestation. The infestation and degree damage caused by cereal pests were related to the level of nitrogen fertilization, and their values were greater at the higher level of N (120 kg/ha) in comparison to the lower level of N (80 kg/ha).
