In present paper four cellulolytic mesophilic bacteria were isolated from the soil. On the base of morphology, physiology and biochemical properties the isolated strains were classified to genera Bacillus. The isolated strains of bacteria produce endo-β-glucanase aerobically and during growth under anaerobic conditions. The highest cellulolytic activity was observed in strains Nr 1 culture medium with filter paper under aerobic condition. It was also possible to measure the xylanolytic and pectinolytic activity of investigated strain of Bacillus. The highest xylanolytic activity was found in strains Nr 4 growing under aerobic condition. Under anaerobiosis the most active was strain Nr 1. All investigated strains of bacteria were showing quite low pectinolytic activity.
