The aim of presented research was to determine the influence of adjuvants on the dynamics of metribuzin decay in soil. Samples of soil were placed in growth chambers. Metribuzin was applied at a dose of 700 g/ha, alone and in mixture with adjuvants: oil adjuvant, surfactant and multicomponent adjuvant (dedicated to pre-emergence application). Residues of metribuzin were determined using high performance liquid chromatography with UV-detection. The addition of adjuvants slowed down the decay of metribuzin and increased the level of its residue in soils. The DT50 value for mixture metribuzin + adjuvants was about 2–5 days higher in comparison with the DT50 for metribuzin applied alone (DT50 = 11 days).
