The author suggests a modification of the toxoplasma antigen production for the oomplement fixation test which enables to decompose the cells of the host (leukocytes, monocytes etc.), to get free the toxoplasmas and to deprive the antigen of its anticomplementary properties. The use of 1% Kalium hydricum solutum (KOH) is here the substantial factor as well as the reduction of the stickiness of the liquid by adding NaHCO3 solution. This method is simpler that one applied by Westphal with use of ultrasounds, and gives, according to the author, good results.
