In 2010, 270 samples of fruits and vegetables from south-eastern Poland were surveyed. In overall 105 samples (39%) tested positive for pesticide residues. One substance was detected in 58 samples and multiple substances were found in 47 sample. The most often detected pesticides were: dithiocarbamates (in 13.0% of samples), captan (9.3%) and pyrimethanil (8.1%). Violations of maximum residue levels (MRL) were found in 2.6 percent of analyzed samples.
