The aim of the study was to determine the changes in the soils caused by human activity. As a result of reduced natural fertilization, mainly liming, soil pH is falling and acidification is increasing (mainly in podzolic and brown soils) which evolved from loamy sand, light clay and particulate matter - in Podzol Soils and Brown Fortest Soils developed fram heavy loamy sand, light loam and silt, as has been proved by the research. The acidification of these soils is manifested in a lower content of alkaline cations in the sorption complex. In most of the analysed soils, the humus content has decreased, with the highest decrease observed in black soils used as arable land, and in organic soils. An increase in the humus content was observed in mineral soils used as meadows or fallow land.
