The experiments were made with 56 rats; the administration of encorton did not seem to affect the localization of Trichinella larvae in the muscles. Both in encorton-treated animals (before invasion or in the first or second week of invasion, the daily dosis of 1 mg) and in control ones a greater number of larvae was invariably found in the muscles of the tongue and diaphragm, the invasion being always more intensive in the muscles of the head, neck and forelegs than in the muscles of the trunk and hindlegs.
