In 2006–2010, eighteen field experiments were performed on the assessment of biological end economic effectiveness of some fungicides against the late occurrence of cercospora leaf spot. The protection of sugar beet plants in a case of late infection was economically justified. The different varieties reaction to protection against cercospora leaf spot was found. The cost covering index was higher than one in case of experiments.
