In the experiment carried out on 2000 young pheasants, four types of concentrates including domestic components were applied. The composition of the control was similar to Ph-1 and Ph-2 concentrates. In the experimental mixture, the amount of crude protein was decreased form 2/24 to 26/21% as well as the feed of animal source /19/16.5 to 8/4%/. The mixtures were supplemented with L-lysine /III/ and L-lysine and 0,3% NaCl. The results of 8 week pheasant rearing were very good: the body weight was 526 g and feed consumption 2,947 kg/kg of body weight. The losses of young pheasants from the f i r s t hatch averaged 4% whereas those from the third hatch ranged from 29-35%. The supplements applied did not improve si gnificantly the production results.
