Jednym z ważniejszych elementów składowych systemu turystyki są atrakcje turystyczne. To właśnie atrakcje stanowią siłę napędową ruchu turystycznego będąc magnesem przyciągającym turystę do celu podróży i stanowią sedno produktu turystycznego. Pozwalają identyfikować regiony, miejscowości, określają ich tożsamość i kształtują wizerunek. W niniejszym opracowaniu wskazano na rolę atrakcji turystycznych w kreowaniu programu rozwoju i promocji produktów turystycznych regionu. W tym celu wskazano na ujęcie teoretyczne atrakcji turystycznych, dokonano przeglądu i oceny atrakcji turystycznych gminy Czernichów leżącej w woj. śląskim. Wskazano na atuty i możliwości kreowania nowych produktów turystycznych.

One of the major components of the tourism system are tourist attractions. The attractions are the driving force of tourism, being a magnet for tourists to the destination, and the core of the tourist product. They enable to identify regions, localities, define their identity and shape the image. In this study there is indicated the role of tourist attractions in the creation of the development and promotion of tourism products in the region. For this purpose, there is presented theoretical approach of attractions and reviewed and evaluated the tourist municipalities lying in Czernichów in Silesia region. There are pointed out the advantages and possibilities of creating new tourism products.
