On excellent wheat complex soil, research was done on the impact of north-south and east-west direction of seeding on yields and the kernel protein content in six varieties of spring corn. The direction of seeding did not have an essential influence on the kernel yield. A tendency to higher yields from nort-south seeding was discovered. This direction had a favorable impact on the protein yield, causing a statistically proven increase in the protein yield. The kernel from grain seeded north-south was marked by a higher protein content, in comparison to east-west seeding, by an average of 0,08-0,84%. The highest yields were obtained by Farys oats and Henika wheat among the varieties cutivated, while the weakest yield was obtained by Ars barley.
