Magerle has found that the injections of non-specific stimulating substances may cause in an organism an intensive formation of aglutinins, precipitins and specific bacterial lysins. According to Zygler an increase in agglutinins under the influence of injection of non-specifically acting preparations is present also in the blood of animals infected with brucellosis. The purpose of this work was to confirm the influence of non-specific stimuli upon the titre in a haemolytic reaction of Middlebrook-Dubos in animals (rabbits, cows) infected with tuberculosis.
