Identification of quantitative trait loci for body composition in two growth-differentiated mouse lines. We performed a genome-wide quantitative trait locus (QTL) analysis of body composition at two lines L and C derived from the cross of four mice strains (A/St, C57BL/6, BALB/c, BN/a). Interval mapping revealed five suggestive QTLs for tail length, two QTLs for mesenteric fat and liver weight, one QTL for parametrial fat weight, pancreas, kidney and adrenal weight and tree QTLs for spleen weight.
