Scatella stagnalis as a result of excessive proliferation may be a pest to plants and very troublesome for the working people. At the slightest movement of plants these flies squeeze into the mouth, nose or ears. The larvae damage the roots and carry fungal spores. The effect of the liquidation of algae from the surface of rockwool cubes on the numbers of pupae S. stagnalis was study. The following treatments were used hydrogen peroxide 3; 5 and 10%, GlonoJad and Mogeton 25 WP. The best results were obtained using 10% hydrogen peroxide and the preparation GlonoJad.
