Greenhouse studies were established to investigate glyphosate resistance of horseweed (Conyza canadaesis) to glyphosate. Seeds of horseweed were collected from plants grown on the railroad in the suburb of Poznan on the route to Pila. For weed control on that railroad glyphosate was used for many years. The obtained data from the experiments indicated that C. canadensis showed resistance to glyphosate. The dose-response curve and resistance index ED50 indicated that the level of resistance was 3.4. The resistant biotype was characterized by increased retention of spray solution. The uptake and translocation mechanisms of resistance were studied.
