In 169 patients with trichinellosis, the following determinations were carried out; haemoglobin content in the peripheral blood accordding to Sahlie and as cyahaemoglobin, red cell count in 1 m³, number of reticulocytes, resistance of erythrocytes to hypotonic solutions of NaCl, haematocrite, blood serum iron, haptoglobulin level of the blood serum, erythroblastic reactions in myelogram, direct and indirect Coombs test, cold agglutinins and complement behaviour. The results of the analysis suggest the conclusion that haemolytic reactions can be demonstrated only in some patients with trichinellosis; it is noteworthy that the complement titre in the serum of examined persons oscillated between 1:2 – 1:32: the titre of 1:32 was found in 46 of 120 determinations.
